Sep 19, 2007
Hockey Video Scoreboard System. The Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, recently chose Centaur Products to provide a Daktronics scoring and display system for their facility. The system, consisting of a four-sided scoreboard hung in the center of the Coliseum, will include Daktronics LED video displays, custom hockey scoreboards, and backlit sponsor advertisement panels.
The Daktronics HD-ready video technology uses the latest in red, green and blue (RGB) LED technology to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid graphics with incredible brightness and wide-angle visibility.
“Once again Centaur Products has been outstanding,” added MacSorley. “We’ve worked with them in the past, and as always, they’ve been a first-class company.”
“The Coliseum staff was fantastic throughout the entire process,” said Jim Grozdanich, Assistant General Manager, Centaur Products, Inc. “The scoreboard was operational for the 2007 Memorial Cup Hockey Tournament, and there will be two exciting events held in the Coliseum in the near future – the 2008 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships and the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Vancouver Giants junior hockey team will now have one of the best scoreboards and video display units in the entire major junior league for their fans to enjoy.”
